- I’m trying to upgrade my ark from stage 2 to stage 3, but the game says I need more collections. Why?
- How do I “explore”?
- You can explore your land by expanding your land. Expansions can be found under the ‘Expansions’ tab in the ‘Market’. Each expansion uses one map. You can either ask friends for maps or buy them using Facebook Credits.
- What are the boxes with the question marks?
- The treasure chests contain the recipes for new attractors (that attract new animals). Expand your property (see question 1) to reveal them and click to open them (requires 1 manna). Once you’ve discovered the new attractor, it will automatically be added to the list of available attractors under the ‘Attractors’ tab in the ‘Market’.
- How many animals make up a “collection”?
- There are 2 basic types of animals: clean and unclean. To complete a collection of clean animals you need 3 males, 3 females, plus one more male or female (for a total of 7). Unclean animal collections only require 1 male and 1 female. To see whether an animal species you’ve found is clean or unclean, simply move your cursor over an animal of that species. A list of the species required to finish the ark can be found (listed in order of habitat) by clicking on the ‘Animals’ tab. When an entire collection has been placed in the required habitat, the silhouettes will be filled in with pictures of the animals with a heart, signifying its completion.
- Can I sell completed collections?
- Once a collection has been completed, it can be sold without affecting its completion. You should double check to make sure the collection has been acknowledged properly (see question 3) before selling them. However, it’s a good idea to keep animals around to help consume feed.
- Why aren’t all of my collections showing on the ark building screen?
- If you’ve used a collection to advance a previous stage of the ark, it won’t count toward the current stage. For example, if you used your chicken collection to build stage 1, it won’t count toward animal collections necessary to complete stage 2. Each stage of the ark requires you to find new collections (see question 2 for how to find new collections).
- Where can I find “pitch”?
- Pitch can be found by chopping down trees; it usually appears with the last chop of the tree.
- If I need collection items for a quest, do I have to save them, or can I turn in my collections?
- Feel free to turn in your collections. Once you find an item, you get (and keep) the credit for gathering it.
- How do I find and use Attract-a-Mates?
- Attract-a-Mates can be purchased using Facebook Credits, earned via the consecutive day login bonus, or by completing the Attract-a-Mate collection (found by visiting neighbors). When you click on an attractor (to fill it), you will have the option to use Attract-a-Mates to lure mates for lonely males or females in your collections.
- Once I put my animals into a shelter, how do I get them out?
- You can’t, yet. The game engineers are working on a fair system that allows you to swap animals in and out of shelters without exploitation. So make sure you make your selection wisely for now.
- How do I use my rare bait?
- Each rare bait is designed for a specific attractor (see question 2). When you click on an attractor (to fill it), you will have the option to use your rare bait to guarantee that you’ll lure a rare animal.
- What is “Virtue”?
- Virtue is a feature that is coming soon! Until it is put into effect, you can earn up to 3 virtue and it will stay there.
I’m out of trees. What do I do?
You can find more trees under the ‘decorations’ tab. Ready to chop trees (for FBC) will be near the middle of the list and saplings (that have to grow) are near the end (for coins).
I’m trying to upgrade my ark from stage 2 to stage 3, but the game says I need more collections. Why?
If a collection of animals is used for a previous stage of the ark, then it won’t count toward your current stage. Since your chickens were used for the first stage, they won’t count toward the second stage. Gather another 2 collections and you’ll be good to go!
